DOES BROW LAMINATION CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE HAIR?

⁣LACQUER has been custom formulated to be gentle on the hair and skin. When performed correctly by a trained professional, brow lamination does not cause any long term damage to the brow hair. Brow lamination works by restructuring the brow hair’s disulfide bonds - essentially using the same science and basic principles of a perm. ⁣It’s important to remember that as with any beauty service, there are possible risks and this is why it's so important to have brow lamination performed by a trained and Certified professional. ⁣⁣

WHO IS NOT A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR BROW LAMINATION?

  • Psoriasis/ Eczema

  • Recent eye surgery

  • Alopecia

  • Recent permanent make up

  • Sunburn

  • Ultra-Sensitive skin

  • On any blood thinners

  • Pink eye

  • Scar tissue in the treatment area

  • Pregnant/Breastfeeding

  • Brow growth serums

  • If you have had brow henna within the last 10 weeks

Brow Lamination

CAN I GET THIS IF I CAN PREGNANT OR BREASTFEEDING?

We do not recommend doing brow lamination if you are pregnant or breastfeeding due to elevated sensitivity caused by hormones produced during pregnancy and after/during breastfeeding. Elevated sensitivity can trigger reactions and also inconsistent results. It is ideal to wait at least 3 months after breastfeeding.

WHAT IS THE AFTERCARE?

  • Do not wet your brows for 24-48 hours

  • Avoid touching the brow area at the risk of transferring oils

  • Do not apply make up to the brow area for 24 hours post treatment

  • Do not apply retin-A, aha or exfoliate the brow area for 72 hour before or after the treatment.

  • No self-tanner products should be used on the face for at least 48 hours post treatment.

  • Apply lacquer balm daily (we suggest before bed)

  • Comb hairs into place daily
