SAN DIEGO PERMANENT MAKE UP APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM

Unlock your full potential in the world of permanent makeup at Ethereal Studio, guided by the expertise of Tori Celina—one of San Diego's most renowned PMU artists. Unlike other programs, we recognize that a 3-5 day class is often insufficient for mastering the complex art of microblading and other permanent makeup techniques. This is why we've developed a comprehensive apprenticeship program tailored to nurture your skills over the long term.

Our program is a perfect fit for certified microblading artists who seek to refine their artistry while having the opportunity to earn during their apprenticeship. At Ethereal Studio, your success is our mission.

What Sets Us Apart?

  1. Continuous Learning: We find that students typically require extended guidance even after initial training sessions. Our program is designed to support your journey, ensuring you're not left to navigate the complexities of PMU on your own.

  2. Monthly Workshops: We offer specialized workshops every month focusing on the areas most students struggle with—be it patterns, depth, or mapping.

  3. Shadow Days: Each apprentice is entitled to one shadow day per month, allowing you to take on clients under the direct supervision of Tori Celina to fine-tune your techniques.

  4. Open Studio Access: Feel free to shadow Tori at any time and utilize our backroom as your personal practice or office space when it's not being used for training sessions.

  5. Commission-Based Earnings: Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll have the opportunity to work as a commission-based artist, enabling you to earn while you learn.

  6. Future Opportunities: Once you've completed your apprenticeship, you can choose to stay on as a commission artist or transition to a booth rental setup, subject to availability.

  7. Online Resources: Gain exclusive access to our online portal filled with technique videos and tutorials that are aligned with your training.

  8. Weekly Critiques: To monitor your progress and maintain accountability, you'll be required to submit practice work on synthetic skins for weekly review.

Why Would I Need an Apprenticeship After a 3-5 Day Training Program?

While short-term courses offer a valuable introduction to the techniques and tools of permanent makeup, they are often just that—an introduction. The complexity and depth of the field can rarely be comprehensively covered in a few days. An apprenticeship offers several advantages that go beyond what can be gained in a short training program:

  1. Personalized Guidance: Apprenticeships offer ongoing mentorship and tailored feedback, something that's not usually feasible in a short course with many participants.

  2. Real Client Interaction: An apprenticeship allows you to gradually build your portfolio with real-world experience, ensuring that you are completely confident and competent by the time you begin practicing independently.

  3. Technical Mastery: Techniques like patterns, depth, and mapping often require more in-depth training and practice, which an apprenticeship provides.

  4. Business Skills: Beyond just technique, apprenticeships often include education on managing client bookings, safety protocols, and even marketing—key skills for anyone looking to make a career in the field.

  5. Accountability and Structure: An apprenticeship provides structured, consistent practice and feedback, helping you stay disciplined and focused on your growth.

  6. Networking: Being in a professional environment allows you to network with other artists and industry professionals, opening doors for future opportunities.

  7. Advanced Techniques: As you grow, so does the complexity of the cases you will handle. An apprenticeship allows for this natural progression, enabling you to handle more intricate and challenging work as you gain more experience.

So, if you're looking to not just learn but master the art and business of permanent makeup, an apprenticeship is an invaluable next step after your initial 3-5 day training program.
